Having received this paperback as a gift, I hadn’t planned a starting a new book. After a brief preview I knew early on I would finish reading it as soon as possible. The Button Boy is a sentimental, thought-provoking look into the trials and tribulations of life and running a business in and around the days of the Great Depression and WW2. With subtle humor and descriptive text, Peterson keeps the reader wondering and excited to learn each character’s life story and next stages. Book-lovers of many ages and styles are bound to find enjoyment and life lessons throughout.

This sleeping problem of getting up so early is happening because I lay in bed thinking about my writing. I'm sure I'm not the only writer that has this problem. Ideas come to me, or half awake I'm...

Under the Broccoli Canopy is set to be released on Amazon on 3/21/26. It will later be released through IngramSpark for booksellers, schools, and libraries. It will also be for sale in my Etsy store in my store Moosemom.

This book is planned as the first in a hopeful series of stories about life under the canopy. Book Two is already in the works and should be released mid to late 2026. I went round and round on this cover--couldn't make up my mind. But, here is a picture of the final cover and...
